Hotel Terra Jackson Hole receives generally positive feedback, particularly regarding its prime location in Teton Village and exceptional concierge service. While some guests appreciate the updated facilities and amenities, others have voiced concerns about room size, temperature control, and outdated features. The hotel’s responsiveness to guest issues, notably Tyler and Alyssa, is consistently highlighted as a significant strength.
We had a situation whereby our pet of 17 years needed emergency care the day of our departure. We had to cancel our 3 night stay. I called the hotel and Tyler answered, with compassion and professionalism. I explained the situation, and we had a non refundable room, i might add, and pricey but, it's high season, ski in ski out and we were there only a few nights. He immediately offered to me not to worry and said "don't worry about the room, we'll refund it entirely, it's senseless for you to have to worry about a refund." I couldn't believe it!! He said he will ensure my record is properly documented and I received the refund within a few hours! Additionally I also spoke with Alyssa, the concierge, who handled our ski rentals smoothly and completely. She had been in touch with us 1 week prior to our arrival to offer her assistance w/transportation, rentals or reservations. Extremely impressed, with how quickly she responded to my inquiries and handling our situation. Will definitely be heading back there later this year. Highly recommended. Bravo Tyler and Alyssa!!
Location is tough to beat. Parking included in the stay. Staff was friendly and professional. Expectations were a little higher- Some lights that weren't working, staff had to change light bulbs. Toilet was running the whole trip. Carpet tacks were exposed where the bathroom door met the hallway. It Booby trap for my kid and wife. The restaurant has a solid brunch and great pizza. Hot tub on one building is great and mediocre on the other.
I stayed in December of 2025 through the AMEX hotel collection and realized I never left a review. In short, excellent all around. Staff were incredibly welcoming, Lia at the front desk was extremely helpful with all my questions, and she upgraded us to a one bedroom suite that was really excellent. The lobby guys kept the fireplace roaring and the coffee and hot chocolate carafes full. We really enjoyed the restaurant and the food was great. Happy hour was a standout because not a lot of places are willing to serve good drinks at reasonable prices these days. Breakfast selection was fairly limited during the week, but the breakfast burritos were solid and the chocolate croissant is a must-try. I had an issue with my Amex credits not being applied to the bill but Tyler the front desk manager fixed that without any questions within a few hours of my email. Location is great, and seems to be equipped for any needs you may have to ski in/out. My only negative is that the shower is in the running for the dumbest design I’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world. Firstly, if you’re taller than 5’ “6 you’re not going to have adequate vertical space to use the thing. Secondly, the position of the controls is bizarre and puts them where I assume your head/back would go and a shower needlessly complicated. The glass panel rotates for some reason but doesn’t give access to shower controls and only makes the shower leak more. It’s form over function and the form isn’t even very good. Overall though, this will be the very first place I look at when I come back to Jackson Hole.
Location you can’t beat. Service is very solid and lovely people. Hotel needs a whole upgrade. I stayed here 10 years ago. I don’t think anything has changed. Gym is very old and lacking equipment. Rooms are small and rough around the edges. Would not pay the room rate again for this place. Love Jackson hole always though!
This was going to be a 5 star review, but even the best service and quality accommodations can’t erase fraudulent credit card charges. This really saddens me since we were already planning our next stay there. We arrived on 12/18/25-12/22/25. This was our first time staying at Jackson Hole in the winter and we had a great time. The staff were very pleasant. We checked out and the company emailed our final invoice showing a paid in full receipt. Almost 2 months later, on 2/7/26 I received a charge on my credit card from this company. I was wondering why so I called the hotel immediately and spoke with the front desk asking what is this charge for? They said it was for unpaid lift tickets. Keep in mind that everything was prepaid in full upon our arrival. They said I had to speak with the manager who wasn’t available at that time. So I requested for the mgr to call me asap. The manager failed to call me back. After waiting for several hours to get a call, I ended up calling and was able to get a hold of a mgr. I spoke with Tyler the manager regarding this charge. He looked up the charge and verified it was for the lift ticket. He verified my receipt and agreed that I shouldn’t have been charged again since the ticket was already paid for in full. What’s unsettling is that they kept my credit card information in their system for almost two months and ran a charge on my credit card without my consent. At the time of checkout, I had already paid everything in full. Fortunately I was able to catch this fraudulent transaction right away. If they are keeping your credit card information for this long of a period, it is possible they are sneaking extra charges without you knowing. With this experience I may not comeback to this establishment again. I didn’t feel like Tyler the manager was very helpful with the situation or went above and beyond. This is something I wouldn’t expect to have happened from a high end hotel in Teton Village.
Had a lovely Experience at Hotel Terra. The rooms were clean and comfortable, Tyler who works at the front desk was warm, helpful and welcoming and the restaurants had great food and personable staff. Spur had great food, lovely service and laid back environment. The host Joe was lively and personable. I Would recommend this hotel to others when traveling out west looking for a scenic place to stay.
Loved my stay at hotel terrace! I will 100% be back here. Came with my husband for our anniversary trip - we stayed a couple days in town and then came up to the resort and Hotel Terra was by far the best experience. We’re already planning our next trip back!
This hotel was very nice and had a good proximity to Jackson. While there is a road that will go from the hotel into the center of Grand Tetons without going down through Jackson, we found it impractical, because each attempt to use it took twice as long because we were stuck behind a camper (which technically aren't allowed on the road) going 7-8 mph. Going down into Jackson and looping around took about the same amount of time in this case. As far as the hotel itself, the room was very nice and included a small table and chairs and the bathroom was spacious. However, the tub/shower was difficult to get in and out of due to the very high edge. I would not recommend this for elderly or people with mobility difficulties.
Our first visit to the Hotel Terra for business meetings. Staff members friendly; Lia, Tyler, Wendy & Gloria at our private events. The room is reasonably clean, the bed is not very comfortable and the temperature in the room stays curiously warm. It should be noted that the showers are bath tubs so you have to step over about 25” .. maybe an issue for some, after a shower! There is no water provided in the room, also an issue after a day of travel. I was told to walk up to the market and purchase water, so I walked to the Four Seasons, and they were happy to provide us waters knowing that we were not staying at their property. *A very kind gesture, indeed. Also checked out the exercise room (hand soap and water needed to be refilled) one of two treadmills and elliptical machines in need of repairs. Roof top hot tub needs tile work and 1/2 the jets are non-functional. The mountains are a pretty backdrop. I would say that Housekeeping does an excellent job! Thank you Cameron Jones for your kind response.
The staff and room service was amazing. Very nice and took care of everything. Everything was very clean. We got the studio and the Murphy bed was not very comfy. Balcony was nice. The room gets very hot even with the air on. The pool and hot tub were disappointing. Small and shallow. Pictures make them look way better. Pool is not for energetic kids, made for relaxing adults.
