We arrived at The Virginian RV Park on 6/13/26 for a planned three-night stay. Before arriving, we knew they were strict about early check-ins, so we intentionally arrived later in the day. Unfortunately, things went downhill almost immediately. Getting into the park was difficult and confusing. The access road is narrow, with vehicles parked on both sides, and trailers lined up near the entrance blocking portions of the roadway. There are no clear signs directing guests to the office or check-in area, making arrival more stressful than it needed to be. The check-in experience set the tone for the rest of our stay. No one greeted us, welcomed us, or thanked us for choosing their park. Instead, we were immediately presented with a long list of rules and things not to do. We were then escorted through extremely narrow roads to our site. The sites themselves are packed incredibly close together. They are so tight that I could hear our neighbors carrying on a normal conversation inside their trailer while sitting inside ours. While setting up, my husband temporarily parked our truck in the empty neighboring site while we unloaded our dogs, including a disabled French Bulldog who requires extra assistance. The truck was running, and we intended to move it within a couple of minutes once everyone was safely inside. Before we could finish, the manager approached us and demanded that the truck be moved immediately. When my husband politely explained that we were almost done unloading and would move it shortly, the manager responded, "Move it now. I'm the manager, and you don't want to piss me off." My husband attempted to talk with the manager’s wife about the incident, but was quickly shut down with, “I don’t have time for you.” We had been on the property for less than 10 minutes before being yelled at by management. As we tried to settle down from that encounter, we watched staff attempt to guide a new Cougar trailer into one of the park's extremely tight sites. After multiple failed attempts, the trailer backed into another camper's hitch, breaking their electric tongue jack and damaging the Cougar's rear quarter panel. It was a clear example of how cramped and poorly designed the park layout is. We are traveling with a group, and after comparing experiences with other members of our party who had also encountered rude staff, we collectively decided to leave the following morning rather than stay the remaining two nights. The staff's attitude was certainly a major factor, but it wasn't the only reason. The park itself is in noticeable disrepair, desperately needs updating, and the facilities were among the least appealing we've encountered during our travels. They left us feeling like we needed to sanitize ourselves after using them. Jackson is a beautiful destination with plenty of lodging and RV options. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend choosing one of them instead of The Virginian RV Park.

The staff were LOVELY and so very sweet and helpful. The park over all was very pretty and green. Our site was by the road. That was not really enjoyable but it wasn't awful either. The bad part of this rv park.... the bathrooms are terribly small, outdated, run down, mold on the walls and not the most clean. For the price of $165 I dont think I'd stay here again. I'd expect nicer facilities when they are charing that much for a single night.

The Virginian RV Park in Jackson was unfortunately a pretty big letdown, especially considering the price. The biggest redeeming quality is definitely the proximity to the Tetons, which made getting into the park quick and convenient. Beyond that, it felt like a lot of missed opportunities. First impressions weren’t great. Absolutely no early check in allowed. We arrived literally 10 minutes early and were told to leave and park on the street until check in time. Not exactly the warm Wyoming welcome we were hoping for. Things got even more confusing when staff personally escorted us to our site by driving the wrong way down a clearly marked one way road. The next day, while driving the correct direction according to their own map, we got chased down and told we were doing it wrong. After showing them their own map marked one way, we were informed the “rule is to go down the one way backwards and turn around.” Apparently traffic laws work differently inside the campground. The pool access for RV guests is definitely a nice perk, and after long days exploring the Tetons it was appreciated. That said, maintenance seems pretty inconsistent. The hot tub closest to the fire pit had broken jets, which was disappointing. The sites themselves are extremely close together, so don’t expect much privacy. Also, no campfires allowed, so if you want to cook outside bring a gas grill. The grass and landscaping are very well maintained, which honestly made it more noticeable that the bathrooms were not given the same level of care. Speaking of bathrooms… black mold abounds. ? And if you’re over 100 pounds or taller than about 4’6”, prepare yourself for the world’s smallest shower stall. The shower itself felt about 2½ feet by 2½ feet, complete with wildly inconsistent water temperatures. The attached changing area somehow felt even smaller. Overall, for the premium price, we expected far better upkeep, consistency, and customer experience. If location near the Tetons is your main priority, it gets the job done. But outside of that, this place felt more like “luxury RV pricing” without the luxury.

We did not have a room. We were in our Airstream at the rv park portion of the park. I am leaving a 5-star review because the staff have been so very nice from beginning to end. Very clean park, quiet, and in the heart of town. Would definitely stay again.

$123/night is pretty steep. But then Jackson is an overpriced tourist trap on the swanky side of affordability. We came and were ready to book ourselves after the reception closed @ 5pm, (we got there at 5:10pm), but when we looked at the price...no way, not for a parking spot to stay the night and leave @6AM. Hot tub and swimming pool just does not make it somehow glorious or worth $123 plus whatever Wyoming fees and tax...I do not reccomend unless you like paying for swanky downtown places. It is closer to restaurants, galleries, etc...but we weren't there for that. We boondocked for free up at Curtis Meadows about 5 miles out of town instead.

We stayed two weeks in Wyoming and stopped at this rv park for 3 nights and this was by far the worst. Bathrooms are gross, and extremely small. Old school plumbing where somebody flushes the toilet and it’ll send boiling water through your shower head. The sites are very small and have zero privacy. Also the management could not have been worse. There’s two geezers who run the campground that patrol on golf carts like mall cops. They have walkie talkies like they’re running an operation and are looking for people breaking rules. They’ll text your personal phone when you exit out of the wrong gate or park a couple inches in the grass because of their undersized pads. If you check other reviews these people are a common problem. Location is fantastic but next time id just stay somewhere further out of town

Lots of poor reviews, but frankly, those folks are just way too focused on minor issues!! It’s a RV park, not a hotel on 5th Avenue. The park is extremely well maintained by Chris and his staff. All staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of adjacent streets to walk your dogs. Restrooms and showers were clean and used by many campers. Spots are expensive, but everyone knew that before they booked. It’s the only RV park in the Jackson area. We enjoyed our 5 night stay very much. True there is no internet, but that fact is published on their website. Cell service is good, so just hot spot TV and the internet with your phone. Haters shut up!!!!

Not a good experience here, was given literally the worst site in the park. As a first time customer I would hope they would have placed us in a better spot to ensure return business. I was told since we booked on line this was how it worked. I asked for a refund but was refused as they said I should have requested another spot when checking in. Ridiculous as how would I have possibly known this. Bathrooms were fair, price was outrageous compared to the 10 parks we were in over the last 6 weeks in CA, ID, OR, and WY. If you decide to go here do not let them put you in #37 or anywhere close. We will not be returning here again.

First thing I’d like to say is don’t listen to all the “bad reviews”. This place was fantastic and we ended up staying longer because of multiple reasons. The couple that runs the place were very helpful and nice. You can tell they care about the environment and facilities. We ran into a little issue with our rig and the husband was more than happy to help us try and fix our bus. Having Access to a pool and hot tub, and being conveniently located near anything you need is 10/10 on its own. We biked to anything we needed, dinner, groceries, hiking, fishing, you name it. Not sure why people complain about the price when you are in the most accessible part of Jackson. We were able to walk to a creek just up the road, and caught some trout also which was super cool. We will be back in the future!!

Virginian RV Park was a great place to stay. I loved the trees for shade, and the check in with the lady was helpful and informative. Yes, I signed for the rules, but it’s not as bad as other reviews say it is! She was nice! The man that brought me to my site was helpful too, and I picked his brain on what restaurants were in the area since I had a Class C and don’t pull a car. Another worker that was mowing the lawn with a very quiet electrical mower, which I told him was park friendly, he talked to me for 10 minutes about the area. I can’t say enough about those 3 employees that were kind & helpful. The bathrooms were very clean each time I used their shower for a longer shower than my RV can give me. I will definitely come here again.
