The Cloudveil Hotel consistently receives positive feedback for its excellent service, luxurious design, and convenient location in Jackson Hole. Guests praise the helpful concierge team, generous amenities, and overall upscale experience. However, some reviews highlight inconsistent service at the Bistro and noise concerns due to poor room insulation.
I stayed here for 4 days in mid Jan and the hotel was wonderful. They accommodated us on a number of unexpected and unfortunate issues we had with travel plans, and service was constantly and consistently above and beyond what I expected. Amenities, including 24/7 snacks and seltzer water, really made the hotel feel cozy and like I was home. The town car / shuttle service was great, and valet was efficient and easy. Concierge is helpful in planning activities. Love that they still do turndown service. Hot tub in the winter is such a fun addition. Location can’t be beat. Just a couple small notes - while the shower water is definitely hot / comfortable, my preference is for scalding and it didn’t really get there. Service for the Bistro in the hotel lobby was inconsistent - some nights there was service, and some nights there didn’t seem to be. Would absolutely stay again!
From start to finish, our stay at The Cloudveil in Jackson Hole was absolutely incredible. The location is perfect — you can walk everywhere — and the bistro downstairs has great food, drinks, and such a fun vibe. The free hot cocoa was an added bonus and just one of the many thoughtful touches that made this stay feel special. Grey was especially helpful and accommodating, and even surprised my girlfriend with a small goodie bag to congratulate her on her promotion, which truly meant a lot to us. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we will absolutely be back.
I have stayed a couple times and even been upgrade with LTE Marriott status. That being said I will never stay here again. I had booked a stay coming up in a few months. I try to stay loyal to Marriott (not sure sometimes if a few points, a free breakfast-which they did NOT provide last stay, and late checkout is worth it sometimes). The Springhill in Jackson is ok but it's a Springhill. These guys want to charge Four Seasons or Amangani prices but DO Not have the customer service to back it up. The first think they do when you book is charge your card for the entire stay amount. Not may Marriotts (except entitled ones) do this. Recently, I kept getting unsolicited emails from them and I wondered if they had been hacked. When I responded back three times to them, they are too busy or can't come out of their Ivory Tower long enough to explain what's going on. Maybe it's true that the Billionaire's kicked the millionaire's out of JH and that is my problem - I do not fit that demographic. I am still going to the antler auction in May but will Not be staying with these clowns. Good Riddance!
Gorgeous lobby with a beautiful atmosphere and across-the-board everything was top-notch. I really want to call out the customer service kindness and friendliness of Libbie at the check-in desk!! You guys are really lucky to have Libby working for you. She is incredible and made such a warm impression on us immediately. Thank you, Libby! And I would highly recommend booking this gorgeous hotel!
Great location and rooms. Pretty horrendous service. Check in staff is rude, condescending, dismissive, and indifferent. No valet staff available upon arrival. When we mentioned this to the front desk staff, they shrugged and were generally indifferent/unwilling to help. My general assessment is that the staff prefers spending time playing on their phones behind the front desk to assisting their guests. When speaking with 2 other guests at a normal volume in a room, a staff member informed us that “if the volume was not toned down, cops would be called.” It is unfortunate that the rooms have not been sufficiently insulated during the construction process, but pretty insane that guests then have to pay the price for speaking at a normal volume in a room and are then rudely threatened with a call to the police as an initial warning. Prior to staying here, many locals warned me about the poor construction and insulation of this property (I.e., corners cut during construction process, leading to an experience that unfortunately entails hearing every conversation in rooms adjacent to you/in the hallway). I was willing to give the property a chance anyways, but unfortunately the negative feedback was spot on. There is 0 insulation in the rooms, such that you truly can hear everything in the hallway/adjacent rooms. It’s unfortunate that conversations at an average volume are disruptive to adjacent rooms due to the poor infrastructure of this property. And while I’m sure this employee’s power trip brought them great gratification, it’s certainly an interesting approach to customer service. If you wish to converse normally in your room (and feel assured of the privacy of your conversations), I would advise staying elsewhere. There are many places in town I would recommend over the Cloudveil, including Rusty Parrot, White Buffalo, and Hotel Jackson, all of which have far better customer service and amenities. Price here is not remotely commensurate with service.
We stayed at the Cloudveil for the first time on a recent trip to Jackson, and it was amazing. Given it is a little pricey, it makes up for it with its location, service, and design. Everything from the lobby, to the hallways and rooms, it was amazing. I also had a package being sent to the hotel that didn't arrive until after I checked out, and the front desk staff went ahead and shipped in 2nd day air back to my house without any questions or fees. I would highly recommend staying here.
This is hands down the nicest marriot and everyone was so kind. The room was excellent and felt so luxurious! Nespresso pods, snacks on each floor, water etc. A primary reason we chose this locstio. Was dog friendliness! There is a huge field across the street to throw the ball with my boys. The bistro was excellent. Ski shuttle was so easy to use to Jackson Hole. Ship skiis was awesome too. I’d love to come back. Do not hesitate to book
Great stay! We loved the snack pantries, waterbottles, pool and hot tub. Tatii was great with giving us recommendations and checking in with how our stay has been every time we walked past the Pathfinder desk. We want to come back in the Summer!
I had a party of 21 that couldn’t fit at the bar at The Bistro and the manager of the hotel invited my entire party into the lobby and made sure we were able to order drinks and have a good time. I didn’t get the woman’s name but she was incredible and I hope her manager sees this. This was back in February during peak season for skiing and they took such good care of my large party. Highly recommend!!!
A great property in the heart of Jackson Town Square! Prior to arrival, Pathfinders Gabe and Tati helped us plan all the activities throughout our stay. They answered our questions ranging from best time of day to what we needed to pack for a 12-hour snowmobile tour through Yellowstone. After each activity, we would stop at the concierge desk in the lobby to chat about our day and prepare for the next one. Tati even shared a list of her favorite stores in town. Without their guidance, we would not have been able to take advantage of all JH had to offer. The shuttle service and ski concierge were an unexpected but appreciated surprise. Highly recommend an espresso martini from The Bistro - you can enjoy one by the fire in the lobby - the perfect après ski vibe! The snacks on each floor and the complimentary branded water bottles in each room were a unique touch. We look forward to coming back in the summer!
