Goosewing Ranch offers a truly unforgettable Western ranch experience, consistently praised for its breathtaking scenery, exceptional staff, and diverse activities like horseback riding, team penning, and evening entertainment. Guests rave about the comfortable cabins, delicious food, and the genuine hospitality provided by the entire team.
Three of us rode into the ranch in February 25 years ago at dusk. The site above the ranch was wonderful. Hundreds of elk were feeding at the station in front of the cabins. The stay was so great I still think of it today. The people were so great. Truly a five star place for me!
Goosewing is a lot of fun. 10/10 would recommend: cozy cabins, great food, nice staff and wranglers, rides and activities are exceptional and safe, and the horses seem to be well taken care of. They try to make everything possible for the guests, even if this means departing from the schedules. Also, the remote location sets this one apart from other Ranches I had looked at. Hope to be back one day!
One of the most incredible experiences of my entire life. Where to even start… The landscape is absolutely breathtaking, literally like a dream. I was in complete awe. The cottages are gorgeous, the perfect amount of space for my sister and I with large suitcases, extremely comfy beds/pillows and a perfect bathroom. Next, the food was AMAZING! Every single meal was so delicious. The wine selection was great as well for all the wine people like me. Now, the best part - the horse riding. My sister and I spent so much time researching a ranch that catered for advanced riders and boy did we pick right!! The horses are all wonderful and safe. Taylor - thank you for your endless knowledge about the landscape and for being a wonderful ray of sunshine. Head Wrangler Robyn - You are incredible. Thank for one of the best riding experiences of my life. We had so much fun on our last day on our 4 hour ride and did so much loping. It was exactly what my sister and I wanted and you exceeded our expectations. Also I have to mention the ranch manager Amy. Thank you for making the ranch what it is. You are an inspiring woman and I can tell how much you care. I could keep going on about all the great things but anyone considering Goosewing just needs to book it and experience it for themselves. I will certainly be back.. whether a wrangler for a season or a guest again. Thank you Goosewing, and to the entire team that work hard to make it what it is. You have a very special place in my heart.
One of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The setting is incredible, the staff are very welcoming, informative and accommodating. The activities were great, especially the team penning. The cabins are cosy but fully stocked with everything you need. Having full access to a buggy meant that we got to explore any time we wanted. Thank so much for having us!
Hands down the best family vacation we have taken. The ranch was spectacular - the location was absolutely breathtaking. The staff could not have been more accommodating, kind, and fun to be around. We all had exceptional experiences while horseback riding. The cabins were cozy and comfortable and well appointed and we loved our view of the river! The food was great and we really enjoyed having our own ranger to ride around the area in. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to Amy and her wonderful staff for a phenomenal experience!
My wife, daughter and I have been guests at the ranch for four straight summers. A western ranch vacation is not for everyone--Wyoming weather can be capricious (let's face it, June and September can bring some of coldest weather you've ever faced), and the isolation can get to you after a while if you're not used to managing downtime. But for me and my family, these last four summers at the ranch have been the best vacations we've ever had. Getting to know the employees--especially the wranglers but no less the kitchen staff, the wait staff and the ranch hands--is my favorite part of the ranch experience. They all have such unique backgrounds and so many interesting stories. Whenever I get a chance to sit around the campfire and listen to them talk, I feel so special to be allowed a glimpse into their lives. They are also exceptionally accommodating. I know it sounds trite, but they really do care about the guests--many wranglers are former ranch guests, which speaks for itself. In my four years at the ranch, I have not had any cause to complain about the way an employee has treated me. If you treat them with courtesy and respect, I can't imagine you'd ever have a problem with a Goosewing employee. Amy, the general manager, and Robyn, the head wrangler, have done such an amazing job at instilling a culture of caring hospitality among the staff. I'm looking forward to a fifth year at the ranch, and I can't wait for next summer!!!
What an amazing experience! The staff are first class and our wrangler Elise was truly an exceptional person. Bar staff are so much fun and you can really tell everyone at the ranch gets along and are friends and this shows to the guests. Our room was clean, tidy and spacious for the 3 of us. Our family will be coming back and definitely recommend to everyone of all ages. I am an average rider but my family are advanced but I was helped through to go one the more advanced rides which was really appreciated. Thanks again to everyone at Goosewing Ranch, You Rock!
Amazing experience for myself and whole family. Enjoyed ATV rides, sunsets, horseback riding, line dancing, and smores by the campfire. Most of the staff was very friendly and super approachable. The cabins we stayed in were pretty nice too!
We absolutely loved our week on the ranch. We saw sun, rain and first snow of the season all in the span of 6 days. It is so secluded and you feel like the only person around for miles. Robyn, Megan and Molly were amazing horse women and we truly appreciate their expertise with the horses. The scenery is gorgeous and we look forward to returning in the future
Hands down an amazing place! You are greeted by the friendly staff upon driving in and the hospitality is top notch the whole trip. The trail rides were stunning, and the cow penning was our favorite! The whole staff goes above and beyond to be sure you have everything you need (or want!) Wonderful food (lots of options) and fun activities after dinner like line dancing. You won’t be disappointed!
