The Kudar Motel offers a unique, retro experience reminiscent of early automobile tourism in Jackson, Wyoming, with a focus on its location and historical ambiance. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with cleanliness, value, and the overall quality of the accommodations, particularly regarding room conditions and pricing.

We booked a RV place in september. But actually this was just a piece of left over land where we only could connect to water. There was actually no privacy too because it was next to the road too. Also there weren't any facilities like bathrooms. We had to pay over 170 dollars (which was already expensive) a night for it, this was not what we expected for the price. Only good thing I can say is that the location is at walking distance from the city centre of Jackson and we saw an owl. So if you're doubting to take a RV spot here.. my advice is: don't do it you pay way to much for what you get.

Outrageously overpriced for what you get and quite honestly disgusting. Our first room had blood on the bottom of the bed. The gentleman at the desk was very kind, apologized and promptly moved us. The second room was worse if you could imagine. It had other stains on the bed, the ceiling was literally falling in, the carpet looked like it had never been cleaned and the shower was filled with black mold that you could smell when you entered the room. There was also hair in the bottom of the shower which tells me there was minimal cleaning between guests. Our room had an actual hole on the side of the air conditioning unit. Our room was almost 90?during the day with AC running. If there were any other options less than $1,000 per night, we would have moved hotels. Kudar was also sold out so we quite literally had no other options. The location was great, the people were very kind, regardless this was easily the worst hotel experience I've ever had. *We stayed in cabin 18, then moved to 17

Jonathon was super cool, friendly and professional and met our needs for the night! The cabin was cute, bed was uncomfortable and the shower was small with an even smaller toilet area with walls on both sides making it impossible for a man of my stature to wipe while sitting. Window curtains were transparent. At the end of the day, we got rest and carried on the next morning.

Let’s start with the obvious. Everything in Jackson is overpriced. If you’re coming here expect to pay a lot even for basics. This travel lodge is a great experience reminiscent of a time when automobile travel was just beginning to take off. This establishment is a relic of tourism in the 40’s, 50”s and 60’s. Based on the appearance we knew what we were getting. The rooms were exactly as I would have expected. Log cabin walls and lots of cedar everywhere. The bed was comfortable, bathrooms good and the heat worked fine. ( it was snowing June 17 when we were here). Walking distance to old downtown Jackson . It’s not a 5 star hotel. This is a basic room with decor from the 50’s. It was clean and perfectly adequate for passing through. I’d stay here again. I didn’t need a $500 night hotel. I wanted somewhere to sleep and within walking of downtown. Give them a try. Just realize their selling point is a time capsule into the early years of car vacations in the west.

The location is very good. The person checking us in described the sites as "makeshift", and that's fair. We parallel parked behind a motel building. 30 Amp power, water and sewer connections all worked fine. It was okay, but for $119 per night plus tax, I can't call it a good value.

Cabins were value for money. Had a good sleep and shower. Bathroom is compact and has all necessary toiletries and bath linen available. Rooms are sufficient. AC was a bit confusing but was ok. Location is just near the town square at walkable distance. Can be spotted easily from road. Enough space to park the car. RVs were also found parked.

The best place to stay in Jackson! Location, ambience, quiet, comfortable, affordable. The group unit (46) reminded me of childhood sleepovers at my great grandmother’s. Antique, and with all the amenities. Plenty of space for a large group. I loved the location, matching quilts throughout the house, nightstands and box of tissues at every bedside, large mirrors, air conditioning, decent beds with great pillows, deck with seating, squeaky floors, and even the musty smell. Every part of this old home added to the experience. Know that you’re not staying at a luxury resort, but instead a memorable time capsule. Also note the website indicates the kitchen does not include any dishes or cooking utensils, which was not a problem since we prepared for this. Definitely recommend, and we will be back.
