The Homewood Suites - Hilton in Jackson offers a central location and friendly staff, with consistent praise for its convenient access to downtown and helpful service. However, reviews indicate issues with dated rooms, cleanliness inconsistencies, and limited amenities, particularly within the fitness center and breakfast offerings.
Rooms are worn, but serviceable. Bed was comfortable. Gym is lackluster. Breakfasts offered variety and we're good. Rear door to the lobby indicated that it should be locked at all time for safety, but was never locked. Great location if you want to be downtown.
I usually stay at Hilton properties so it pains me to give a negative review. On the positive side, the breakfast in the morning was top notch. Each day they had a slightly different selection to go along with the usual. Also, the location of this property was within walking distance of the town. Our rooms weren't cleaned while we were there, we had to request extra towels on the 2nd day, the handicapped accessible shower was not up to standard. The staff were friendly though.
So pleased with this property. Location is perfect for walking downtown; staff was always friendly asking about our time in Jackson, if we needed anything, if they could recommend anything to us. Breakfast wasn’t listed online so that was a nice bonus. Property is tastefully designed. Will be back!
I paid close to $500 a night for a 5 night stay over a weekend. It’s reasonable to expect a premium product at this price point, hence the 3 star review. The grout in shower was messy and dirty. The suite didn’t have a table and chairs, even though there was small kitchen. The $20 per day parking felt like I was being nickel and dimed at this price point. The included breakfast was fairly decent, however. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch too. The staff was friendly.
Centrally located & exactly what we wanted. Rooms are clean & comfortable, staff is friendly. Hotel is quiet & good for relaxing. Within walking distance of town square. We'll stay here again on our next trip back.
Our stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Jackson was overall a great experience. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Jackson, making it easy to walk downtown and explore the shops and restaurants. Our trip started off a little rocky with some issues that were out of the hotel’s control, but the general manager, Guillaume, went above and beyond to make things right. You can tell that he and the staff truly care about their guests and stand behind their service. Even though our stay didn’t start perfectly, it ended on a very positive note thanks to their top-notch service and professionalism. Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Jackson.
Great location, but that’s about it. Rooms are fine if you’re just in town for the night. Service was just so so. 0 recognition of diamond status/benefits. “Fitness center” is a joke…it’s basically a closet off the pool that they shoved a peloton and treadmill into with dumbbells up to 20lbs. Breakfast says 7a-11a, which isn’t great if you’ve got to be somewhere before 7. Came back at 1030 and it was already closed. Had a 2 night reservation here for next week but decided to cancel and elsewhere.
We stayed there for three nights and our disappointment started with the room size, where it looked to us that they added a full height partition to make a "suite" out of what would have been a large single room. If the sofa bed was opened, it would be essentially impossible to walk around it, and there was only one chair in the suite, but that's OK because there's almost no place anothe chair could fit. (I considered leaving after the first night, but my wife has physial problems that would make that awkward.) The towels were luxurious but, other than a shower door handle that was big enough for one towel, there wasn't anywhere else to hang them. There wasn't single hook in the rest of the suite! (I guess we could have hung them in the closet, and we actually hung the wet washcloths off the kitchen cabinet handles.) We used one of pots, but there was nothing to scrub the pot with, and the kitchen didn't have any paper towels or napkins! The breakfast area was supposed to open at 7AM, but the day we had an appointment off site at 7:30, it wasn't open until 7:25 . At the "evening social" I took one bite of cheese and knew that it had been out and drying for hours, and the rest of the offering was scant and unappetizing. We realize that hotels in Jackson can be expensive, but both the maintenance and the operation of the hotel spell "cheap". There is parking on the hotel property, and they charge $19 per night.
Excellent location to see Tetons and Yellowstone. Walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. It says it was renovated but I did not see any signs of that. Our room was very dated and not the cleanest. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Beware when booking this hotel. I was directed to Jackson, Mississippi and made a reservation there.
The hotel is not new but is very clean. It is within easy walking distance of the town square. What made it great was the service. Annie greeted us at the front desk upon arrival. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to ensure that we were happy with our room. She checked on us each time we passed the desk to see if there was anything she could do to make our stay more pleasant. We very much enjoyed our stay.
